Looking for a fun place to meet people and discuss life's big questions? Alpha explores the basics of the Christian faith with conversation, films and laughter. Run over ten sessions (plus a fun Saturday mini-retreat day), each film looks at a different question about faith and is designed to create discussion. It is an open, informal and honest space to explore where you can say or ask anything.
Each Alpha night includes a high quality video talk and great conversations. The videos are designed to engage guests and inspire questions and ideas. We explore the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity, addressing questions like: Is there more to life than this? Who is Jesus? What is faith? How can we have it? Most of all, Alpha is sharing community and the love of Jesus Christ in a no-pressure environment. -
WHAT IS ALPHA?
Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith, typically run over eleven weeks. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone is welcome.
EVANGELIZATION
Alpha is a tool to introduce people to an initial proclamation of the good news of Jesus Christ - the kerygma.
ENCOUNTER
Alpha takes people on a journey often leading to a personal encounter with Jesus Christ.
It enables people to ask their questions, share ideas, build friendships, and experience the love of God
through the power of the Holy Spirit.
EVERYONE
Alpha is for everyone: all backgrounds, all contexts, all ages.
